In the Philippines, the most widely consumed alcoholic beverage would be the BEER. Well, at the very least that’s how I see it.. so it’s no surprise that Perfect Pint would start its Food Pairing Roadshow.. Last week, they had started would the 4 brews from local Craft Beers paired with food done by Top Chefs in the Philippines..This week they challenged the Brew Masters themselves to come up wit their own dishes…
Week 1 October 20-23 Chef’s Creation
Week 2 October 27-30 Band of Brewmasters
Blackened Chicken Breasts with Charred Cuban Corn Salsa with Sierra Madre Wheat Ale by Francis Onata ( Joes Brew)
Salmon Gravad Lax with G-Point Red Head Ale by Morgan Kallefjord
Glazed Pork Belly with Apple-Onion Potato Mash with Fish Rider Pale Ale by Francis Onata ( Joes Brew)
Mac and Blue Cheese with Katipunan SIgnal no. 1 Stout, by Kiyo Miura ( Katipunan)
Week 3 November 3-6 Food Writers Hot of the Press
Week 4 November 10 – 13 Chefs Specials
Think it’s crazy? Think Again!
Well, after tasting all 4 dishes – I choose this one as my favorite dish.
Each plate costs 599 with the 4 shots of Craft Beer and the Food Pairing, if you think the servings too small, think again once you’ve tried it.. Trust me – the food is enough to fill you up and the beer is enough to get you buzzed.. LOL.
Once you’ve finished, you might want to try to top off everything with this.
Best paired with the dark beer. -O so yummy sweetness!
