Day 2 in Baguio at Azalea Residences
Day 2 and the rest of the team is in Baguio already. 1st item of the day is breakfast in the restaurant at the ground floor
Bacon, Eats and longganissa with unlimited hot choco and iced tea!
After breakfast, we headed out to tour Baguio in places we have never been before. But before that! Playground again!
I have been to Baguio a lot of times, even upto the time that I was there monthly when I was assigned as a manager for 3 years to handle North Luzon, but I have never been to MaryKnoll Ecological Sanctuary.
For those that have no idea. Here is a brief explanation from their facebook page:
“Situated in a 2.8 hectares of pine trees, coffee, bio dynamic farm, and flowering gardens, the Maryknoll Ecological Sanctuary offers a place of quiet and beauty where one can one can have picnics or just visit and walk around the garden’s fourteen stations that tells the story of how the universe unfolded- how it gave birth to earth and eventually to all the beauty we see today.
The Center has three newly renovated facilities as well which can accommodate sixty persons for retreat, seminars and workshops. It provides meals, snacks and comfortable lodging.
Come and enjoy nature’s beauty in a peaceful environment today and learn about the story of the Universe here at Maryknoll Ecological Sanctuary, Baguio.”
The park consists of 14 spots and stopovers that have been designed to show different times.
Here are the contact details for the park.

After our trip to Maryknoll, next stop was of course Lunch!!
One of the newest places to eat in Baguio is the Mothers Garden Restaurant. What’s cool about this place? Everything’s organic!!
The restaurant is located in Upper Fairview Road. Quezon HIll Proper02600 Baguio City, Philippines.
Most of the food in the restaurant is grown there. As you can see above, 1st 2 pics were picked as part of the salad. 3rd picture is a wild blueberry.
Besides being a great place to eat because of the lovely, soothing ambiance, the restaurant offers amenities for children so that parents can enjoy a peaceful meal.
Above is a coupe of pictures of their set meals.
The restaurant has some pet rabbits that children can feed, a playground, a pottery station and T-Shirt coloring area. They even have a “sungka”
All I can say is that the ambiance in the restaurant is amazing and the food is great!
After lunch, well actually after about 3 pm – hehehe. we didnt want to leave the place.
Another stopover at wright park for horseback riding…. again.
After our short horse back riding stint, we still had some daylight left, so we decided to stop at the Famous “Haunted” White House in Baguio.
This house was said to be haunted before and was not being used for anything. A couple of years back, they decided to turn it into a museum, showcasing native works on the 1st floor.
The entrance fee is 50 php per head.
The 2nd floor and third floor is also open to the public except for a couple of rooms that are locked…. I wonder why? hmmmm..
Dont forget to look into the closets. hahahah.
And that ends our 2nd night in baguio, with buffet pizza and pasta dinner in Azalea Residences
