HOOQ, Asia’s on demand video service partners with Globe Telecom

HOOQ, the newest on demand video service to come out in Asia recently announced its partnership with Globe Telecom, the leader in postpaid services in the Philippines..

HOOQ is a startup venture backed by giants like Singtel, Warner Bros and Sony Pictures will be available soon in the Philippines powered by the partnership with Globe Telecoms for only 199 php per month!!

IMG_6022What does HOOQ offer that’s unique? It offers more than 10,000 movies and television shows from its various partners like SONY and WARNER BROS… Movies such as Harry Potter, Spiderman, TV shows like gossip girl and Smallville..

 

Die hard fans of Filipino shows should not worry as local content is also available from partners like ABS CBN and GMA.

Who will be the head honcho of the new company? Well, none other then former Chief in Globe, Peter Bithos.. Peter will be moving on as the CEO of HOOQ supported by country manager for the Philippines Jane Cruz-Walker. Who will take Peter’s place? Well, that hasn’t been announced yet –  I guess we will just have to wait for the official announcement.

Shows like Tanging Ina, Maging SIno ka man and Mulawin are just some of the local shows that will be available foe streaming with HOOQ.

Expected date of release of the application is around February 23, 2015..

Regal Films movies like Mano Po and Shake, Rattle and Roll will also be available for streaming.
