How can you work at home without a home? Working at home is probably the coolest thing that globalization brought to the Philippines. Having your own home is also the best investment one person can have.
A lot of my friends in abroad always ask me, what’s the best investment in the Philippines? Where can I buy a house? A car? My answer is always these:
1. Invest in something you know or love.
2. If you plan on coming back home or not – invest in a house -Why? Not many Filipinos actually own their own homes. Most are just renting. If you buy a house even a small one – you can rent it out or sell it after.. Real Estate Prices usually double or triple after a couple of years.
Just be wise and do your due diligence when you buy a house.
a. Make sure its easy to get to with public and private transportation
b. It doesnt flood.
c. It’s not in line with any of the fault lines.
d. If you have kids – probably best if its near a good school
e. Security – the entire subdivision might be great, but then your smackdab in the middle of a bad neighborhood.
3. Take time to know your investment.
