How to use Canon 40D EOS with your android tablet or phone

How to use Canon 40D EOS with your android tablet or phone.. this is one question or how to that a lot of bloggers, nomads and people on the go are always asking… not necessarily about the Canon 40d but in general the cameras that use CF cards.. since android phones cant or dont support CF card readers based on my experience.. After a lot of man hours spent searching the internet and trying out all sorts of connections,we finally found it..

1st of all, your tablet or phone needs to be android..( please dont askme re iOS devices.)

2ndly, it needs to be OTG capable..

3rd –  you will need an OTG cable

4th the micro pin cable to usb that you connect from your camera with a usb connector at the end..

Here’s a shot of what you need.

Once you have all of those, you will need an application..which is downloadable from playstore for a small fee.

See that app in the bottom names DSLR Controller? That’s the app you need. once installed it will also come with the DSLR Gallery…

Well, the main reason I wanted to connect my camera was so that I could edit and download the pics from the camera on the move without having to carry a bulky laptop.. yes – I have a bulky laptop…

I havent fully tested the app on how tocontrol it… but as you can see, it overrides the viewer and goes straight to the tablet..
