Kata F2… unboxing and initial impressions

Kata Digital  a company dedicated to giving affordable mobile phones to the public has recently come up with its newest mid range phone for the mobile market, Last month they released the M3 –  the newest successor to the Octacore lineup at a price point of less than 10,000 php and the TMini 2 for the phablet segment.

The newest member of the ever growing Kata Family is the Kata F2… which follows the F1s which they released last year

Here is what the F1s used to look like..

Here is what the F2 looks like:

The back cover casing of the F2 looks more like the current octacore design M3… the overall design is still basically the same.. the volume rockers are on  the left and the power button on the right which makes taking a one handed screenshot very easy and with the micro  usb port and the 3.5 mm port on top which makes charging and listening to music easier on the user.

Here are the specifications for the Kata F2

  • 1.3GHz Quad Core Mediatek MT6582M processor
  • Mali 400 MP graphics
  • 1GB RAM

Whats the antutu score? Here it is: 16,032 is not bad for this kind of phone and its size.

What’s the major changes compared to the F1s?

The F2 now has a bigger battery life compared to the 1550 mah that the F1s used to have… It also seems that on my initial tests that the camera and screen of the F2 is significantly better in churning out pictures.. we will soon find out the exact specifications used in the review that we will be coming out with.

The F2 is available in different colors: Blue, Grey and White. It also comes with 10 gig Kata Cloud Storage free.

One thing I noticed is that the F2 is also significantly lighter that other phones with the same size and specifications in the market.. I barely notice it in my pocket.

Price: To Be Announced soon and available at all Kata Digital Stores Nationwide.

Come back and read our review on how it holds out on a daily use.
