Last weekend, Mazda made their new models available to teh public for a test drive in The Fort in BGC.
What is SkyActiv? 1st of all, there are 2 variants to the engine technology -the G and D ( Gas and Diesel). But so far, only the D version will be released in the Philippines.
Well, Basically, they made the car better and more GREEN.
This test drive was only the 2nd time I’ve driven a Mazda, the 1st was with my friend’s earlier version of the Mazda 3.
One of the reasons I havent been a bg fan of automatic transmission cars ( Yes – all Mazda 3 models use Automatic Transmission) is the fact that they seem sluggish to me compared to the manual transmission cars ( I own 2 – An Innova and Honda City ) But to be frank – I honestly enjoyed the performance of the Mazda 3 Skyactiv during the test drive. Too bad it was just in BGC. I wonder how it feels on a long drive.
Well, as far as I could tell it’s nice. According to their Marketing Director -City Driving can get you upto 12-14 km/liter on performance. and higher on long drives.
Here’s a shot of its engine.
Someday… Somehow. lol!
