Review of the new Telpad Dual S

Th new Telpad from PLDT now runs at with a dual core 1.6Ghz Cortex A9 Dual Core processor and an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. And 1 gig RAM.

A big improvement against its last predecessor.

Add it up with 8 gig internal memory with an expandable slot of upto 32 gig provides you more space for all your needs.

Adding the 1024 x 600 screen resolution, makes the Telpad Dual S a great tablet for viewing pictures and watching videos.

So besides the normal surfing and watching videos or viewing pictures, what else can the Telpad Dual S do?

Well, we decided to test t in a couple of different ways.

1st – daily use for normal or as a handy portable workstation for daily needs. How?

Attach a keyboard to it. ( the normal package of the Telpad doesnt come with one.. so you need to buy it.)

Most of the shortcut functions you can do with a laptop can be done using the Telpad and a keyboard ( attached via the micro usb port.)

Having those 4 shortcuts work means that most normal word processing can be done on the Telpad. This post as written using my Telpad Dual S. Having an attched keyboard means you have more real estate in the screen since it automatically overrides the pop up keyboard.

Another way we tested the Telpad was to use it on field while covering a story, most of the tablets i used couldnt read the card reader I attached to download the pictures for editing and uploading to the blog, but the Telpad is OTG – which means you just need an otgcable and attach your usb or card reader and viola!!

Well, all work and no play makes you sad…. Hahahaha. So we tsted out the Telpad again on games and downloaded a couple of games from EA games and the playstore.

For old timers like me, SIMS 3 is a game we all know.

And the performance was something i expectd from a PC. I also tested out worms whichmy kids love. Who wouldnt like a game that blasts things?heheheh

What other games did we try? Of course Plants vs Zombies 2, Drgaons World and a bunch of other games. Our verdict on games??? Me Likey!!!

Here is the Antutu test for those who like basing on the stats. 14972 points.

Another thing I like about the telpad is its battery life which lasts for the whole day for me. So all in alll the Telpad works forme on both a personal and professional level.
