Take for example the last 4 days. I was in Sarangani to cover an event – If I wasn’t a work at home dad, or nomad worker, I wouldn’t have been able to keep on doing the things I needed to work on. Blogging, Research and a lot of other stuff including skype calls to clients. Mobile and landline calls to suppliers, clients and office mates. Good thing I am using – Globe Tattoo Broadband.. unlimited calls to all globe and touch mobile numbers nationwide.
How was I able to keep working in Sarangani? To be specific in SAFI Farm in Maasim in General Santos City. Simple.
I brought my gadgets with me. 1 laptop. 2 Mobile phones – M1 and M2 from Kata Digital – 1 to use for data browsing with Globe’s gosurf packages for the facebook updates I needed to update the facebook page of the International Paragliding Accuracy Championship 2014 to keep everyone updated and another phone for phone calls. Why’d I use globe? Ask anyone who was there – Globe has a more stable connection in the area.
Once I got back to the hotel in the city, I could easily work on the projects and tasks set by my foreign clients using the hotel’s internet or via the portable hotspot I had.
Imagine, if I had an office job, I wouldn’t have been able to go and cover the IPAC2014 event.
