Windows Operating Systems Schedule of End of Support

With the expiry of the support for Windows XP last April, it got me thinking when everything else we know now from Microsoft will expire. Why? I have about 30 computers running on the Windows 7 Platform and of course I want to be ready when shit hits the fan.

If you havent heard about the end of XP support better read up.

For those running or were able to migrate to the other operating systems like Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. Here is how the time table looks like for you.

Client operating systems Latest update or service pack End of mainstream support End of extended support

Windows XP

Windows Vista

April 11, 2017

Windows 7 *

January 13, 2015

January 14, 2020

* Support for Windows 7 RTM without service packs ended on April 9, 2013. Be sure to install Windows 7 Service Pack 1 today to continue to receive support and updates.

As you can see, Vista users have until 2017 for the support and Windows 7 users (like me) till January 14, 2020.
