Good Job to my Alma Mater! University of Santo Tomas becomes the 10th school to partner up with the Huawei ICT Academy.
The Huawei ICT Academy has been around for a couple of years already and is going strong with the 10th member UST joining the ranks as of this March 2, 2020.
According to Mr. Liguodong, Huawei Director, the collaboration and partnership will bring a comprehensive, worldwide recognized professional certification system which aims to increase the awareness, ICT knowledge and skills of students of today for ICT jobs of the future.
The partnership is sure to benefit both the school and the students in being able to level up their learning experience in the ICT sector. Not only that, but the students also get a leg up in terms of being able to find jobs faster once they graduate with the real possibility of working with Huawei.
At the signing of the Agreements, UST’s Vice Rector for Public affairs expressed appreciation for the opportunity to join Huawei’s ICT academy. “Thank you for this opportunity to partner with our university. We know that this is a very crucial step ensuring that our students are well-prepared for the demands of the new employment situation. Not only in the country but likewise globally,” Vice Rector for Public Affairs, Prof. Cheryl R. Peralta said.
