Ways to minimize your live interactions in the time of the COVID-19 virus using technology

The COVID-19 virus situation seems to be getting worse for some countries including the Philippines with 24 confirmed cases as of March 10, 2020. Here are some ways that are now actually doable to minimize your contact with other people by using Fintech. Let’s stay safe and keep safe and follow all precautions that we can to minimize the possibility of infection. Here are some things we can do online. Let’s break it down.

Errands. People have a lot of errands and that usually is paying for something like your bills, depositing money in the bank to send to someone else or even just buying load for your mobile devices. Most of these things can now be easily done using a fintech app like GCASH or Paymaya.

With GCASH you can pay your bills using your phone, send money to another person or even to your bank, buy load, invest money and a lot of other online stuff, without actually having to have a physical interaction with a human. If you run out of credit in your apps, all you need to do is link your ATM and transfer funds from your bank to your app. If you have to go out, and want to minimize handling cash, you can use the scan to pay function or the barcode payment( for 7 Eleven and Puregold) to pay for your purchases.

If you are hungry, or going out, you can use Grab. Pay your Grab driver using the app via the Grab Credits. If you are hungry, you can have food delivered via Grabfood and just pay via credits again to avoid handling cash. I actually use this a lot. More choices than just having to order in the usual spots like Mcdonalds, Jollibee or KFC.

Good thing that these apps can significantly cut down a lot of our interaction that is needed, just imagine sitting inside a bank for an hour to deposit money or pay your bills. To bad the HonestBee is no longer around. Whatever happens, dont forget to keep healthy by eating the right foods, taking your vitamins and always washing your hands properly and disinfecting your surroundings.
